  The development of organic photovoltaic devices (OPV) based on organic semiconducting materials has

  attracted significant attention because it promises to deliver an inexpensive and versatile basis for the conversion

  of solar light to electricity. Conducting polymers (CP) are organic polymers having semiconducting properties due

  to electronic delocalization along their conjugated backbones. The remarkable optical and sunbet下载 properties

  of these materials and their behavior in the conversion of light energy into electrical energy, made them ideal

  candidates for OPV sunbet下载.

  CP are usually prepared by chemical or electrochemical synthesis. Nevertheless, intensive research efforts

  remain aiming the optimization of the preparation of nanostructured CP, the control of their morphology and the

  adjustment of their properties. Recently, we succeeded in the development of a new radiolysis-based alternative

  way for synthesizing different kinds of CP in aqueous solution or into organic solvents (Figure 1) by using various

  oxidizing species generated in the irradiated medium by g-rays1,2,3,4,5,6 or accelerated electrons4,7,8.

  The present project aims to extend this new methodology, based on radiation chemistry, to the preparation

  of nanostructured CP into microemulsions. The purpose is to control the morphology of the as-prepared materials

  and to adjust their optical and electrical properties. Also, the assessment of performances of radiosynthesized CP

  in energy conversion will be done. The aim is clearly to use radiosynthesized CP with enhanced photoconversion

  yields in organic photovoltaic devices for commercial sunbet下载.
